Move from WEB.DE to iCloud
All emails and folders come from WEB.DE into your iCloud mailbox. Your WEB.DE mailbox stays unchanged, and we bring over new emails to the old address for 30 days.
The test moves the emails of the last 30 days, up to 200 MB. You see right away that everything works.
What to set up first
About five minutes. After that you only enter your two addresses and passwords in the move wizard.
In your old inbox
At WEB.DE
- Sign in to WEB.DE in your browser.
- In the email area, open “Settings” and then “POP3/IMAP”.
- Allow access via IMAP and save. In the wizard you then enter your normal WEB.DE password.
In your new inbox
At iCloud
- Sign in with your Apple ID and open “Sign-In and Security”.
- Under “App-Specific Passwords”, create a password named “Mailovo”.
- You enter this password in the wizard instead of your Apple password.
What happens to your folders
Inbox, Sent, Drafts and Trash land in the matching folder at iCloud, whatever it is called there. Your own folders keep their names and subfolders. Read, flagged and answered marks are kept.
We only include Trash and Spam if you want. Before the start you can deselect individual folders.
How long does the move take?
Usually a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of the mailbox. You don’t need to stay: we email you once everything is there.

If you like, we can bring your contacts and calendars along right after the move (beta).

- Will my emails stay at WEB.DE?
- Yes. We only copy and change nothing in the old mailbox, not even the “read” mark.
- How much does the move from WEB.DE to iCloud cost?
- The test with the emails of the last 30 days is free. The whole move costs €9.90 once, with 30 days of forwarding, the address checklist and a report.
- Do I have to close WEB.DE afterwards?
- Not right away. Keep the old address running for a few weeks and switch your accounts during that time. Our checklist shows where the old address is still registered.
